Exclusive performances to dazzle at the Opening Ceremonies!

We have some more treats in store for you!

A delicious buffet, fireworks, a baseball game, and seeing old and new friends at the Louisville Slugger baseball field... The Opening Ceremonies (401 E. Main Street) already promises to be a magnificent kick-off to the NAD Conference week. What could be better? Well,  we’ve added an exclusive performance designed just for the conference!

Sean Forbes of Deaf and Loud has written and will perform “Nothing About Us Without Us,” a brand-new song created exclusively for you! This song, which was written to tie in with our conference theme, will be introduced by Warren “Wawa” Snipe, our emcee for the evening.

Not only will we get the first look at the new song, but the Louisville Slugger field is truly the perfect venue for the night where we will celebrate America’s favorite pastime - just in time for Independence Day. A performance by Jeremy Quiroga as William Ellsworth “Dummy” Hoy will leave you marveling at Hoy’s brief but fascinating stint with the Louisville Colonels from 1898 to 1899, and learning a bit about Deaf history.

We can’t wait to see you all there! Meanwhile, here are the performers’ bios:

The internationally celebrated Wawa will serve as emcee of the 51st Biennial Conference Opening Ceremonies, and will perform for the audience as well. Learn more about Wawa at:
