NAD Remembers Teresa Rogers

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) has learned with regret that Teresa Rogers, who was a long time employee at the Described and Captioned Media Program (DCMP), has passed away on October 22, 2014.  The community has a lost a dear friend and valued colleague.

The DCMP released a beautiful tribute for Teresa.

DCMP Project Director Jason Stark takes a moment to reflect upon her loyalty, “Teresa’s contributions to DCMP during her 20 years of dedication and selfless service were many and varied.  She worked tirelessly toward the goal of increased access to media by individuals with disabilities.  She will be greatly missed by her DCMP family.”

NAD President Chris Wagner, shares his condolences, “Teresa will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives she touched.  We honor Teresa by remembering not only her work at DCMP, but also the life she lived as a true friend, colleague, and tireless advocate for the deaf and hard of hearing community in South Carolina.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Teresa’s family and colleagues.”
