NAD Retreat In Connecticut

Watch President Wagner’s short Board Report taken at Camp Isola Bella above.  [Video description and transcript available below]

During September 17-21, the NAD Board of Directors and some of the NAD Staff gathered for the NAD Retreat held at Camp Isola Bella in Connecticut, for the first time!  The NAD appreciates the support from the American School for the Deaf (ASD).  The NAD Retreat included some team building activities, much discussion of the five priorities and other business items, and a meeting and dinner with RID’s Board of Directors. The weekend concluded with a joint town hall meeting with RID in Hartford.

CHRIS: Hello! I’m Chris Wagner, President of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD).  We’re here at Camp Isola Bella in Connecticut.  We just finished our first NAD Board meeting retreat!  We were able to get together and discuss the top five priorities which are: Preservation and Advocacy for Relay Services, Mental Health, Education, FEMA, and Youth.  We have developed a plan for these five priorities and look forward to working with you to push Deaf and Hard of Hearing America forward.  You can checkwww.nad.org to find out what else is happening with the NAD Headquarters and the NAD Board.  Thank you for all your support, I really do appreciate it.  Keep it up!
