President Jenny shares a recap of March and what she’s looking forward to next month. Happy Spring!
JENNY: It’s finally Springtime! This means we can enjoy going out more, as for me — you’ll find me hiking more. Even with better weather, we’re still working hard on our Priorities. Our committees are making progress on their work and I’m making sure we’re on track. Last month, February, we honored Black History Month. This month, March, we honor Women’s History Month. We also celebrated National Deaf Youth Day on March 6th. Thanks to everyone for hosting events to recognize and celebrate our leaders of the future. I look forward to two things next month, in April: Deaf History Month and our next Board meeting in Montana. We will have opportunities to meet with the local communities. During our trip to Montana, we will participate in Montana’s Deaf Enrichment Weekend for Deaf Youth between the ages of 7 and 17 years old.
