Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend NLTC even if I am not a member of the NAD?

No. NLTC is a gathering of passionate advocates representing NAD-affiliated state associations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies. These advocates are also individual members of the NAD.

Can I register onsite at NLTC?

No. Registration is in advance, first-come, first-served.

I do not fit the above groups. Can I sign up for the NLTC registration waitlist?

Yes. You can pre-register to be placed on a potential waitlist. This waitlist is for the possible expansion of in-person registration, which will be determined at a later date. Sign up at: https://nad.org/waitlist.

Can I cancel my registration?

Please note that all registration fees are nonrefundable.  However if you cannot come, an individual registration fee can be transferred.

What are regional caucuses?

Regional caucuses are informal gatherings that bring together individuals or representatives from specific geographic areas to discuss regional matters, share experiences, and collaborate on solutions to common issues and challenges.

Can I use my government agency’s purchase order to register for NLTC?

No. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept government agency purchase orders for conference registration, as such typically takes two to three months to process. We encourage payment via credit card.

Is there a cafeteria at the Thompson Conference Center?

Yes, the TCC features the Under the Oaks Café, which is open to the public for breakfast, lunch, and snacks during NLTC on Thursday and Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be vegetarian and vegan options available. The café accepts only credit cards; cash and checks are not accepted.

What’s the dress code?

Keep it casual, clean, and comfortable throughout the week—no formal attire needed. However, if you’re planning to attend GAFD’s Deaf Halloween Bash or NAD Night out  on Friday and Saturday nights, be sure to bring your western wear and boots—it’s a themed night you won’t want to miss!

Can state affiliates, nonprofits, and government agencies buy in-person registration tickets now without assigning a person yet and transfer them later?

Yes, you can. In the name section, please fill in the registration form with the name of your state, nonprofit, or government agency and include the email of the person who will be responsible for making the transfer.
