The success of any nonprofit organization depends on making sure money is managed appropriately, with the whole board oversight. The goal of any organization is to ensure proper revenue and spending - that aligns with your organization goals. To do this, it is very important to make sure the organization follows best practices in money management and also complies with all federal and state requirements. Come to this workshop and learn the best ways to handle money.

Michelle currently lives in Massachusetts and has had experience managing program funds and budgets in different capacities. When she was President of a state association, she worked closely with the treasurer to ensure financial stability and growth. Michelle received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree also in Social Work from Syracuse University. Michelle continues to volunteer her time to different organizations through advocacy and is currently the treasurer of the NAD. Her mantra of "making a difference" has garnished several awards. Michelle is married and has three kids who have pretty flown out of the coop and enjoys traveling and her three pups, Nevaeh, Lilo, and Stripey.
