Deaf and hard of hearing students want to attend colleges, universities, and other post-secondary education institutions, just like everyone else. Higher education can provide and lead to many rewarding career choices.
For many deaf and hard of hearing students, state vocational rehabilitation services may be available to assist the student achieve his/her higher education goals. This section describes the roles and responsibilities of institutions of higher education and vocational rehabilitation services to ensure deaf and hard of hearing students have equal access to and an equal opportunity to higher education programs and services.
