National Association of the Deaf

Where We Work

Shared Purpose. Unified Impact.

The NAD leads national efforts for access, rights, and justice—powered by a federation of state associations, nonprofit organizations, for-profit and government partners, and individual members. We drive change at the federal level and work alongside our affiliates to advance advocacy across national, state, and local arenas—all united by a shared mission, vision, and values. This structure helps us respond to emerging issues, share resources, and advocate on behalf of Deaf and hard of hearing people nationwide.

National Presence in Action

Across the country, NAD- and federation-led programs bring our mission to life—through local and regional presentations, community town halls, youth development activities, state and national conferences, and more.

These touchpoints build momentum, deepen connections, and empower Deaf and hard of hearing people everywhere we work.
