RID Region V Interpreters — Your #NAD2026 Experience Starts Here
by Dr. Bobbie Beth Scoggins, Interim CEO, NAD
The 58th Biennial NAD Conference is happening June 30–July 5, 2026, at the Hilton Union Square Hotel in San Francisco, California. Interpreters play an essential role in our shared community, and this conference offers a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and engage with Deaf leaders who are shaping what comes next. We’re excited to welcome RID Region V interpreters, along with interpreters from every RID region across the country, to join us for a week of collaboration and professional growth..
This conference brings together Deaf leaders, advocates, policymakers, educators, entrepreneurs, and innovators who drive national conversations about accessibility, civil rights, education, technology, and more. As an interpreter, you’ll gain direct access to their insights and lived experiences through meaningful conversations and collaborative environments.
Many interpreters have told us that their first Biennial NAD Conference was the moment they truly saw the depth of Deaf leadership and advocacy — and the moment when they connected with people who shaped their careers and broadened their professional perspective.
We are currently soliciting workshop proposals across 10 conference tracks. Every track includes opportunities for interpreters to present, participate, and earn CEUs. Our workshop review committee includes a Region V representative, and we strongly encourage interpreters to submit proposals, share their expertise, and spark practice-focused conversations.
Because this conference brings together multiple participating groups with a wide range of interests, we offer both combo and à la carte registration options, giving you maximum flexibility in how you experience the conference.
With the à la carte option, you can start with selecting the $100 option for access to all workshops, including interpreter-focused sessions and general sessions throughout the week. To earn CEUs, you can add the $200 CEU package, which covers CEU processing for every workshop you attend and allows you to tailor your schedule to your interests.
You may also choose to attend evening activities, including receptions, performances, and special events, by purchasing individual tickets or selecting an all-inclusive package. (The CEU package remains a separate additional cost.)
Conference registration requires individual NAD membership, which is $40 for regular members and $25 for seniors age 50 and older.
You can find full details on registration, the conference schedule, hotel reservations, workshop proposals, exhibits, and more at www.nad.org/sf26.
