National Association of the Deaf

NAD Virtual Community Forums

Updated May 19, 2026

NAD Board Secretary Milmaglyn Morales:

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is launching a series of virtual Community Forums to see and engage with your input directly.   These open forums invite community members to share concerns, insights, and ideas to help shape NAD and the Deaf community’s focus and advocacy efforts.

The forums are designed to receive input from individual members and affiliates on building a cohesive, forward-looking strategic platform for the NAD 2026 Conference in San Francisco, where the NAD Board and delegates will consider key topics for discussion and future action.

Five key areas will be explored:

• Accessibility

• Technology

• Education

• Employment

• Healthcare

Your voice matters. This is an important opportunity for meaningful community engagement and collaboration with NAD as we work together to strengthen our collective impact.

Join the conversation at the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) 2026 Community Forums as we explore key issues shaping our community and future. Each session focuses on an important topic aligned with our strategic priorities.

A vertical event flyer with a light gray background and dark blue accents promotes a National Association of the Deaf (NAD) community event titled “#NAD2026 Community-Driven Commitments: NAD Strategic Goals.” A textured dark blue strip runs down the left side like torn paper, while the NAD logo appears in the upper-right corner as orange “NAD” letters inside a white circle outlined in dark blue. In the center, a large dark blue rectangle contains bold white text reading “NAD Strategic Goals.” Below are two event options: the first says “June 3 at 8pm” in large underlined dark blue text, followed by a blue QR code with a black curved arrow pointing toward it and the label “Option 1,” with registration available at Option 1 Zoom Registration. The second says “June 7 at 1pm” in matching underlined dark blue text, followed by a red QR code with another black curved arrow and the label “Option 2,” with registration available at Option 2 Zoom Registration. Near the bottom, smaller italic dark blue text reads, “Click on your preferred date and time to register,” followed by bold dark blue text stating, “All times are in Eastern Time (ET).
Blue and white flyer with text and a round logo that says "NAD." Text reads "#NAD2026, Bylaws Committee Presentation: Review of Proposed Bylaws Amendments, June 14 at 1pm." Below is a red QR code. At the bottom, there is small text about registration and Eastern Time.
